Rat Pack swing / Vegas lounge
Julian Marchetti
1950s Vegas lounge crooner
Tux pressed, tie loosened, one hand on a vintage mic. Julian is a Rat Pack-style crooner straight out of a smoky 1950s Vegas lounge, singing in front of velvet curtains while the ice settles in the glasses. His sound is swing-era big band and late-night small combo: brushed drums, walking upright bass, muted trumpet and a piano that knows every standard.
His voice is a smooth, warm baritone with an easy swagger, unhurried phrasing and a wink at the end of every line. His songs are about high rollers, long shots, last calls and the women who always seem to hold the better hand.
Velvet voice, loaded dice, and all the time in the world.
